Prescription Requests

Due to Covid-19, the surgery is sending prescriptions to pharmacies via a secure email service, or posting out prescriptions to patients' home address. Please phone the practice at 01 4730893 to discuss your prescription.

How to request prescriptions:

1. An appointment should be made with the GP or nurse for new and repeat prescriptions. At each visit, the doctor or nurse will give you the longest prescription possible based on your medical needs. You will then need to be reviewed before the next prescription can be issued.

2. In exceptional circumstances, if you are requesting a repeat prescription over the phone, at least 24 hours notice is required. If the doctor or nurse cannot issue the medication without a medical review, you will be contacted.

To prevent patients running out of medication, we suggest that patients contact the practice when they have at least one week left of tablets to arrange an appointment for a prescription.

All consultations are by appointment.
